  1. Heat ghee or oil or mix of both in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add whole spices (cinnamon, cloves, bay leave)
  3. Now add thinly sliced onion, slit green chilli and sauté well.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute until raw taste goes.
  5. Add chopped mushrooms
  6. Throw in the mint leaves, cilantro and stir well.
  7. Add little amount of yogurt and give it a nice mix.
  8. Now add thoroughly washed rice, water adjusting to the variety of rice you use, salt and stir well.
  9. Close the lid and do not keep whistle until steam comes out.
  10. Once steam comes out keep the whistle and cook for 15 minutes in minimum flame.
  11. Fantastic mushroom pulao ready. Transfer to a serving bowl. Have it along with raita.
